Winter can be a tough season emotionally – colder weather, shorter days and a lack of sunshine can all take their toll on your mental health. One in five U.S. adults experiences mental illness each year, so while these conditions can make us feel more isolated and alone, they’re common, according to the National Alliance on Mental Illness.
